It's been a while since we heard about it and we didn't dare to hope to see it on stage. The thing will happen on October 22 during a single performance at the Retroplay festival.
Zeelay sur sa scène « tradi »
Zeelay was electric…
Zeelay made the hearts of chicago blues lovers vibrate, especially with an installation that one is tempted to call an orchestra (although in his case nothing is automated). The artist prefers to call it more prosaically his "trio-solo" since it allows him to play bass, drums and electric guitar at the same time (not to mention that he is also a singer). Alternating between rock and acoustic songs, Zeelay makes us travel from the south of the Mississippi to the West Coast, in a sharing of emotions borrowed from the various rock styles of the last fifty years.

…it became “Electro Zeelay”
The artist refined his installation and replaced his bass drum and hi-hat with an Atari VCS. Blues purists may cry heresy for fear of having their ears torn out. They are not entirely wrong, because the sound coming out of the new Zeelay rocks! On the Techno rhythms that escape from the 8-bit machine, Zeelay comes to affix his throbbing bass and the guitar solos, always tinged with blues, subtly slip into alternative atmospheres. With this new "form", Zeelay takes up the themes of traditional blues and surprises us in a lyricism that sends us straight into the flights of progressive rock of the seventies. A program that promises to seduce experienced ears… and especially those curious about new sounds.

Where and when ?
You will be able to discover Zeelay in its Electro-Techno-Blues form, during a unique mini-concert which will take place during the Retroplay festival, on October 22, 2022 at 4:00 p.m. on the festival stage.
