…it became “Electro Zeelay”
The artist refined his installation and replaced his bass drum and
hi-hat with an Atari VCS. Blues purists may cry heresy for fear of
having their ears torn out. They are not entirely wrong, because the
sound coming out of the new Zeelay rocks! On the Techno rhythms that
escape from the 8-bit machine, Zeelay comes to affix his throbbing bass
and the guitar solos, always tinged with blues, subtly slip into
alternative atmospheres. With this new "form", Zeelay takes up the
themes of traditional blues and surprises us in a lyricism that sends
us straight into the flights of progressive rock of the seventies. A
program that promises to seduce experienced ears… and especially those
curious about new sounds.
